Jodi Olstead, BCSTA’s director of finance and human resources, will be retiring as of July 31, 2021. Elaine Teng, currently BCSTA’s assistant to finance, will be assuming the role of director of finance effective August 1, 2021.

Having joined BCSTA in April of 1988, Jodi has made many contributions that have strengthened the foundation and services of our association. Her contributions to the betterment of B.C.’s public education system by way of her work at BCSTA will be long-lasting, and her presence will be deeply missed. Join us in wishing her all the best as she transitions to enjoying her retirement!

On behalf of the BCSTA board of directors, President Stephanie Higginson extends her congratulations to Jodi on her retirement. “I want to thank Jodi for her 33 years of service to our association, and wish her all the best as she moves on to some new adventures.”

Elaine is a certified professional accountant (CPA) and first began her work with BCSTA in 2013. Her experience with our association, as well as her professional training, make her an ideal candidate for this senior role. The opportunity to promote from within and provide a seamless transition are ideal for BCSTA.
